MRR is pleased to announce that Public Works and Government Services Canada has awarded MRR a Standing Offer for the Atlantic Region.

Material Resource Recovery held a public meeting on May 1, 2003 to announce results of its 2002 Source Testing, Ambient Air, Ground Water and Biomedical monitoring programs. Results in all cases showed compliance with all Provincial Standards and no impact of MRR's operations on the surrounding environment.

Material Resource Recovery is pleased to announce that it has obtained a Certificate of Approval for a Waste Management System, 8663-5HLJUJ, which allows for the transport of both PCB wastes and hazardous and non-hazardous wastes.

Cornwall - Material Resource Recovery today announced the installation of a state of the art purification filter designed to eliminate odours.

An annual five-day PCB ambient air test conducted in September/October 2002 at the Material Resource Recovery (MRR) plant in Cornwall's east end industrial park showed maximum emissions from the operation to be 1.4 per cent of the provincial standard.

CORNWALL - MRR is pleased to announce that it has received a Certificate of Approval for its mobile waste water treatment unit allowing for the treatment of waste waters contaminated with polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).

The Ontario government is taking a major step forward in its environmental protection agenda with the launch of a comprehensive plan to handle the disposal and elimination of hazardous wastes, Environment Minister Elizabeth Witmer announced today.

MRR's proposal to provide an alternative disposal method for PCB's has been approved by Ontario's Environmental Assessment Board.
