MRR CONDUCTS PUBLIC CONSULTATION

Material Resource Recovery held a public meeting on May 1, 2003 to announce results of its 2002 Source Testing, Ambient Air, Ground Water and Biomedical monitoring programs. Results in all cases showed compliance with all Provincial Standards and no impact of MRR's operations on the surrounding environment.

MRR OBTAINS PCB TRANSPORT PERMIT

Material Resource Recovery is pleased to announce that it has obtained a Certificate of Approval for a Waste Management System, 8663-5HLJUJ, which allows for the transport of both PCB wastes and hazardous and non-hazardous wastes.

MRR PASSES STRINGENT AIR TEST

An annual five-day PCB ambient air test conducted in September/October 2002 at the Material Resource Recovery (MRR) plant in Cornwall's east end industrial park showed maximum emissions from the operation to be 1.4 per cent of the provincial standard.
